CityTrip doesn't require an account to browse the City Map, and we don't ask for your name or email just to use the site. Here's what information CityTrip uses and how it's handled.

Saved places & recent searches

Places you save and recent searches are stored locally in your browser using standard browser storage. They are not stored in a CityTrip user account or synced to our servers.

This information remains on your device so it can be available the next time you visit. You can remove it by clearing CityTrip's site data or your browser storage.

Location

If you tap “My Location” on the City Map or open Saved Places, your browser may ask for permission to access your location. We use your location to show your position on the map and help frame the map around you and the places you've saved.

We may also record an approximate version of your location, rounded to roughly 100 meters, as part of our usage analytics. This helps us understand which areas of the city people use CityTrip in and improve the experience.

We do not intentionally associate this approximate location with your name or email, and CityTrip currently does not require user accounts.

Usage analytics

We collect limited usage information to understand how people use CityTrip and to improve the site. This may include pages viewed and interactions with the City Map, such as opening a place, searching, saving a place, or requesting directions.

We do not use this information to build a personal profile based on your name or email.

Your choices

Location access is optional. You can deny or revoke CityTrip's access to your location at any time through your browser or device settings.

You can also remove locally saved places and recent searches by clearing CityTrip's site data in your browser.

Third-party services

CityTrip may rely on third-party services to provide features such as maps, directions, hosting, or usage analytics. These providers may process limited technical information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy page as CityTrip changes or new features are introduced. When we do, we'll update the date shown at the top of this page.
